“Why talk” gender and sexuality?

By reaching out to various stakeholders in the Lebanese landscape, the “Why Talk” quote series seeks to contextualize the reasons for discussing issues of gender and sexuality in Lebanon. In preparation for the KIP multidisciplinary conference on March 31st and April 1st, 2017, we are now asking actors why they work on or care about issues of discrimination and sexual harassment on a personal level. By asking a variety of activists, researchers, members of the private and public sector, and others, we hope to shed light on the reasons that issues related to discrimination and sexual harassment need to be brought into the conversation.
